So we bought two of them and yes some Thief had put their old identical faucet in the box and returned it to because of the rust probably. But the second one that was brand new was unable to be mounted to the quartz countertop because of the thickness which is the same as granite and marble countertops. The reason I gave it a second star is because the light is kind of cool but last less than a year because I found two customers with this same faucet. Very careful with which chemicals you clean it with and hard water is probably not a good idea for this faucet. Use only if you have a thin countertop

  2. FastFreddy

I love the clean modern stylish look of this faucet. I especially love the light that turns on when you run water. The stronger the flow, the brighter the light. The levers are easy to turn on and easy to turn off. I can use the back of my hand to turn them on and off. No need to grab the handle to turn. The swivel is a plus as well. No plunge to pull and push, just the drain plug you tap to close and tap again to open. Very easy.

My kids were excited about this Allen & Roth LED Bath Faucet in Chrome. We put it in their bathroom and it performs as a faucet should, but I have a couple of reservations. The gooseneck is longer than I think it should be and it’s problematic for those that wash their face in the sink – yes the gooseneck swings to the side, it’s just annoying. Secondly, the LED light doesn’t always come on, and it’s just the color of a standard plug in nightlight. The kids were hoping for something more spectacular.

    PROs
    Easy to install
    Swing to the side gooseneck
Light up LED when water turns on

    CONs
Gooseneck is too long – you bump your head when trying to wash your face
    LED doesn’t always turn on
LED doesn’t have other colors – basically the same as a plug in night light
Non-standard curvy base doesn’t line up on the sink and you see the line where the old faucet was

  4. RobH

I needed a bath faucet with a higher spout and it would be nice if it were swivel-able side-to-side. This faucet is great. Upon opening the box, I found it was very high quality made with what feels like quality parts. Nothing feels cheap and the swivel and faucets move nicely and quietly. I had not originally noticed that the LED aerator can be removed and the supplied non-LED can be installed instead. This was a nice feature. On the other hand I was surprised to find that my standard 3/8 compression supply lines would not have fit as this requires the larger 1/2″ supply line on the faucet side. Note that you may need to get adapters or better yet new supply lines to install this faucet.
Ultimately I was not able to install the faucet because the vanity top that was later chosen had the individual style holes instead of the triple holes together that this faucet requires. I will keep it for a future installation.

I really wanted for this faucet to work as I love its design. But within a couple of months of installation the hot water handle started leaking. Oh well, I’d bought it on sale for $25 and waited too long to return it so I figured I’d replace it with another of the same. And a couple of months later, the same thing happened. Leaky hot water handle. A plumber looked at it and suggested replacing it with a higher quality faucet. At this point, a year later, from the reviews it’s clear that this is a real defect in Allen + Roth’s / product. As much as I like how it looks what I really need is a faucet that works. Disappointing!

The drain has a design default it does not lay flush to the sink and water will not drain from the sink properly.

I written to distributor and Lowe’s requesting 3 new drains without a design default that will allow the water to drain.

Unfortunately after installing 3 of these the design default was discovered. A lot of time and money to get them replaced. But, they can’t remain in the sink as the sink will eventually stain and at this time the sink must be wiped out after each use. There is a good sized puddle left around the drain for a goo 2 inches.

  7. Joek

The lighted waterflow stops working after 2 months.
I purchased 4 of these and 2 of them no longer light up, i have removed and cleaned the lighted end and it still does not work after only 2 months.

  8. TomVegas

Please don’t waste your time with this inferior product. We purchased three of them and they ALL started to leak within four months. Now, they all have to be replaced at great expense to us. STAY AWAY!

  9. Ztul

Got this faucet around a year ago and after a few months it already started to rust. I remove the rust every time I clean the faucet but it comes back after a short time. Not sure what kind of faucet this is. Also the brushed metal comes of. Looks good in the beginning but doesn’t hold.

  10. Rob

Hot water cartridge failed after some time. does not have replacement cartridge. Contacted service number from parts manual, they sent wrong part, even after confirmation of correct part number.

  11. cb88

This is a nice faucet on its own, I’m not sure why the gimmick of hte LED, which is powered by running water. Do kids really need a light when the water runs. As an adult, I will assume they will just leave the water running all the time just to get an extra night light. Fortunately, the faucet comes with a standard areator which you can switch out, but changes the looks a bit. On the plus, no batteries, but water powered light? I’m not sold on it. The pop up drain is a bit hard to depress the first few times and took me over 20 attempts to get it working the first time. I was afraid I would break something, but you really do need to push really, really hard to get it to ‘pop’ the first few times. Nice design and looks great otherwise.

  12. Mundo

Not having to turn on bright lights in the middle of the night to wash my hands is great. The LED light is bright enough and this faucet uses very little water compared to my old ones. Also, I like the slim profile handles- they stay clean by turning them from the edges, and the swivel feature plus the high arch gives me extra room in my small sink. Great unit!

  13. Diane

I installed this beautiful faucet in January. I noticed some leakage around the cold water handle on the right, but after trouble-shooting my installation process could find nothing I did wrong. It made the sink a little messy when in use, but otherwise it didn’t drip while it was off.

In April a family member with plumbing skills came to stay and remarked on the leakage. He disassembled the faucet and suggested that the mechanism in the right handle was faulty. A plumber I hired confirmed this, and while I did replace the defective faucet with this very same model (I really like it!), I was out $50 for the purchase.

What I like–the light feature is a nice touch, and also optional if it’s not for you. I’m sure my young nieces will enjoy this when they come to visit! The design is both elegant and functional. The neck of the faucet swivels which is helpful. I like the look of this piece and in general really appreciate the design aesthetic of Allen + Roth

  14. Brownsugar

I’ve had this faucet less than a year and the hot water cartridge has gone bad which makes the faucet run even when it’s turned off!

  15. Babysis

    I love this product.

  16. Peanut

This is a no nonsense faucet I installed recently. The no nonsense part
is the Push Pop-Up Drain Assembly included with the faucet. Unlike other
faucets there is not a rod having to be adjusted correctly for good drainage.
Just install it and zoom, it is ready to drain. No crawling in the bottom of the
vanity to hook up and adjust a rod . Great feature!!

The Homewerks 2-handle 4 in centerset faucet is a little bigger than most
faucets. It has a bigger base and higher spout. And with the swivel spout
coupled with the height of the spout it serves CB much better purpose than
a standard faucet. I love it.

The chrome finish has excellent appearance. The LED lighted water flow
is made possible by the flow of water; requiring no batteries. That is worth
bragging about. LED lighted water flow 24/7.

Being a WaterSense bath faucet means saving water. A 1.2 gpm flow rate at
60 psi is cost saving to the homeowner.

Instructions are easily understood and installation is simple and easy. All
fittings are standard size and it can be installed anywhere a 4 inch centerset
    faucet is needed.

The only negative I see is that the gasket on the top of the drain assembly,
fitting in the sink hole, is a thick gasket that doesn’t draw down enough to
allow the water to completely drain out. Just a very small ring of water is left
standing in the sink, which really presents no problem.

With a lifetime warranty how can you go wrong? I have installed several
faucets over the years and I recommend the Homewerks (Allen + Roth)
    without any reservation whatsoever.

  17. Mike

Bought six of these and had them installed by a plumber. The handles squeek and are cheap. Three of the plastic drains began leaking and then just broke into pieces when I tried to hand tighten. Bought six new letal drains for $200 and just hope I can get a year out of the crappy faucets.

  18. Odie

Overall beautiful faucet. The pop up drain was a little difficult to flush with the sink hole. I had to hand tighten the lock nut and o-ring about every other minute to ensure proper flat seal to the inside of sink bowl. Definitely do not use a wrench because you could crack the plastic. I also used bathroom caulking on the o-ring under the sink to get a good seal. The LED light quit working after the first day. Fortunately, there is another aerator that comes with the faucet, and can be switched out. I’m not sure if using a faulty LED aerator could cause a chemical change with water running through it or harmful to the human body after drinking from it. Just to be safe, I just decided to switch out the aerator.

  19. Michell

I installed this faucet in two bathrooms: one with a pedestal sink and one with a drop in sink. It works great for the pedestal sink. PROS: Looks nice, neck swivel, and LED aerator is great feature (no need to turn on light during night or low light), well made, and pretty easy to install once you get the hang of it. The pedestal install was a bit time-consuming for me as it was my 1st time ever installing a faucet, I was installing by myself so had no one to hold up the pedestal bowl or leg, and the directions weren’t super detailed for a novice like me so I installed both the rubber flanges on the bottom the first time (lol). CONS: There is weee bit of water left in the bottom of the pedestal bowl after it drains and there is only one color (chrome) – can be easily remedied with spray paint. As for the drop in sink, same PROs but one major CON: there was lots of water left in sink after draining so I plan to buy and install a different stopper. Since the price of the faucet is so reasonable, spending another $15 for a stopper isn’t a deal breaker for me. If the drain switcher-a-roo works well, I will buy a third faucet for my last bathroom. Overall, I definitely recommend this faucet for pedestal sinks but it could be problematic for other types of sinks with flat bottoms. Wish the manufacturer would redesign the stopper then it’d be perfect.

Within a mere 2 weeks the one set’s hot water was dripping so I needed to shut the valve off. Weeks later, my other set, the hot water was running, not just a drip but it sounded as though my water was on, and I had to shut that valve off. I am taking these back and will not be purchasing again

  21. Patti

I love the LED light that shines on water power. If you’d rather not have the light, there’s a regular aerator included as well. The installation was easy, too.

My only problem with this purchase is the packaging for ALL the faucets does not differentiate between bathtub and sink faucets. It took me 2 trips and help from an associate to get the right kind for my sink.

  22. MaryJ

I purchase 2 of these facets for my bathroom. The pop-up drain is not well made–It is plastic and gets stuck inside the drain tub and can flood your vanity. I had to buy two metal new drain and have my plumber install it which was an added cost!!

  23. DCA

This Allen + Roth Chrome 2-Handle 4-in Centerset WaterSense Bathroom Sink Faucet with Drain is fantastic. I love the LED on the spout idea, and it is triggered and powered by the water flow itself! Brilliant!

    Pros:
    – Modern, Sleek, clean look. Brand is inconspicuous on front lower escutcheon of faucet, not too obvious.
    – The connection stems, faucet handles, and spout are all metal.
    – LED lighting in the aerator helps in dark/low light and powered by water flow (not batteries). They provide a non-lighted aerator if you don’t want the LED feature. This is a nice option, as some may not like it (I think it’s cool)
    – The faucet spout swivels from side to side.
    – Smooth operation/action.
    – The faucet is high up (5″ from sink surface / faucet base) for extra clearance underneath when needed to fill large containers, wash up higher on hand+arms, other objects, etc.
    – 1.2 GPM saves water, but it works just like a traditional faucet. You don’t want high water pressure & volume on a high faucet like this or it will splash anyway, but again, I couldn’t tell the difference (and that’s good).

    Cons:
    – Not any significant ones.
    – The base escutcheon is plastic (not uncommon in modern fixtures)
    – Only works for Centerset sink hole patterns (4″ faucet handles, center to center). Check yours before buying.
    – Only available in bright chrome (no brushed finish or gold, bronze, copper, etc.)

Overall a wonderful piece of hardware that I hope will last many years. At $40, it would still be good even if it lasts only a few years. I have no reason to believe it won’t – just don’t know yet.

Thanks for reading and I recommend you buy this one!
